How We Started

Aptos Screening Incorporated was founded January 11th, 2021 in St Petersburg, Florida. But don’t let our “young age” fool you, we entered the CRA world with over 10 years of industry experience. Our team came together with a vision to not only provide accurate, fast, and reliable background checks but also elevate the consumer experience while making positive community changes. Our three founding members come with a vast variety of experiences which gives them the edge on adaptability and innovation. The plan is to promote safety by empowering people to make informed decisions and we tackle this plan in more than one way. Our goal is to provide exceptional work and customer experience while dedicating time to break misconceptions through community outreach. We want to partner with like minded business owners that value not only business safety but also want to improve community safety as a whole.

Meet Our Team

CEO

Izabel Stapleton

Izabel Stapleton is the CEO and Co-Founder of APTOS Screening. She was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where she lived for 22 years. In Brazil, she completed her BSN in Nursing. The idea of going to nursing school came from her eagerness to help people. She moved to the United States as a master’s program student. During that period, she met her husband and has been living in the USA ever since. Izabel became a proud American citizen in the summer of 2014. While she was still practicing as an RN, she started to look outside of nursing on how she can continue to help people. She watched her husband build his nationwide wholesale company in 2015, and together they decided to open Aptos and provide background screening services to other businesses. Her hunger for knowledge and determination to turn information into a helping tool is what contributed to her most recent interest in the background check industry.

President

Seth Stapleton

Seth Stapleton is the President and Co-Founder of Aptos Screening, and Founder and CEO of SAS Data Retrieval. He has a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in pre-law, worked nine years as a commercial diver, and served four years in the United States Air Force. Seth brings nearly a decade of experience in the background check industry with experience ranging from being a court runner in the far apart and often challenging parishes of Louisiana, to starting and running a nationwide wholesale company and operating as President of Aptos Screening (CRA). Seth is a dedicated professional who sets high standards for his employees and for the services his company provides.

Vice President

Marta Falcon

Marta is the Vice President and Co-Founder of Aptos Screening. She was born and raised in Hellin, Spain. She has a Bachelor Degrees in Business Administration and Law and a Masters Degree in International Management. Marta has lived in over 6 countries giving her a very diverse perspective. During that period she worked in over 25 different countries managing international projects. Throughout her career Marta worked at the Spanish Minister to the European Union headquarters in Brussels and Strasbourg, Spanish Fashion and Clothing Federation and managed the international exporting of fashion items. In 2003 she became a business owner outsourcing garments for companies like Nike and Adidas. Marta moved to the USA in 2015 where she continued her entrepreneurship by importing fashion goods as well as LED lighting. In 2020 she joined a COVID-19 relief company in efforts to help our community during the pandemic. During that time she worked in recruiting, onboarding, and staffing of COVD-19 testing and vaccine sites where she met Izabel. Marta joined Aptos from the beginning and is using her diverse experience to enrich our team.

All of our team members have a voice and we encourage them to use it. Having a diverse team is only beneficial if the team feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. Having a safe space to share concerns and vet ideas is the foundation of a trusting team. Once the decision is made, we all jump onboard.

We are in the business of accountability and integrity and we take our role very seriously, not only with our clients but also with our team members. Listen to comprehend not to respond

The biggest communication issues and missed opportunities happen when we do not listen to comprehend. There is more than one solution to any problem and taking into consideration the opinions of others is something we make space for.

Face situations with empathy and objectivity

We believe in putting yourself into the other person’s shoes in order to better understand their perspective with compassion without letting emotions cloud your judgment. Be open minded and compassionate but always consider the facts rather than feelings. 

Provide clear expectations

Never assume anything. We provide clear expectations to both clients and team members. We believe by being clear and concise we promote healthy teamwork and increase initiative and productivity. 

Address issues, not solutions

There is always more than one way to solve an issue and the best solutions can change over time. We focus on the issue at hand without getting so attached that we can’t let a solution go when a better one arises. 

Think outside the box

Challenge the status quo and allow for innovation to happen. We explore ideas that are creative and unusual by not limiting ourselves to be controlled by preconceptions.
